TIG Welding in Dallas for Food Plants, Data Centers and Stainless

Dallas work leans hard on stainless. We weld sanitary tube and equipment for food and beverage plants, fix and fabricate for factories along I-35E and in Garland, and build architectural rails and trim for contractors. Data center jobs get mobile rigs and plenty of paperwork.

Short answer

Where can I get TIG welding in Dallas?

TIG Weld Techs serves Dallas and the surrounding cities with mobile TIG rigs and shop fabrication. Most of the local work is 304 and 316L stainless for food and beverage plants, architectural metal, factory repairs, and piping and supports at data centers. We come to the site or take parts into the shop, and travel is quoted by distance.

Who we weld for around Dallas

01

Food and beverage

Bottlers, dairies, bakeries and snack plants across Dallas, Garland and Mesquite run on 304 and 316L. We weld sanitary tube under a full purge, repair conveyor frames and hoppers, and build guards and platforms. Sanitation crews spot a rough weld fast, so we finish to the surface the plant specifies.

02

Data centers

Richardson, Plano, Garland and Carrollton have filled up with data halls. The TIG work there is roots on chilled-water and condensate piping, stainless drain and humidifier lines, and aluminum brackets and frames. Access is escorted and badged, and hot work gets permitted one room at a time.

03

Manufacturing

Plants along the Stemmons corridor, in Grand Prairie and in Garland break parts and need them running again. We repair cracked aluminum castings, re-weld stainless fixtures, and build short runs of brackets and frames from a drawing, a sketch, or the broken original.

04

Architectural stainless

Restaurants in Deep Ellum and Uptown and lobbies in Las Colinas want stainless that looks right from two feet away. That takes tight fit-up, small beads, low heat input so thin sheet doesn't warp, and blending each weld back to the original #4 brushed finish.

Food plant welding in Dallas

A food plant judges a weld from the inside of the tube. Sanitary tube is usually 304 or 316L with a 0.065 inch wall, butted square with no gap and fused under a full argon purge. Done right, the ID bead is flat with full penetration, and the color stays at light straw or better. Done wrong, it's sugared, and the plant's QA will cut it out.

Plants usually give us a window between production runs or during a scheduled sanitation shutdown. Bring the 3-A or ASME BPE requirement if your line has one, plus the inspection plan, which is often a borescope check on a sample of joints. Our post on sanitary tube welding standards covers what each one asks for.

Data centers and the paperwork that comes with them

Data center sites in the northern suburbs run tighter than most plants. Expect a background check, an escort, a badge that opens certain doors and no others, and a hot work permit that names the room, the hours and the fire watch. Smoke near live equipment is taken seriously. So most of the welding happens in a laydown yard or a shop, and only the final tie-ins get made in place.

That split suits TIG. Spools and frames are built and checked off site, then mobile TIG welding handles the last joints with almost no spatter and very little smoke.

Driving DFW, and which services fit

The Dallas side of the Metroplex spreads out along I-635, US 75, the Dallas North Tollway and the George Bush Turnpike. Plano to Mesquite is under 30 miles and can still eat an hour at 5 p.m. Travel is quoted by distance, and where we can, we group site visits by area.

For most Dallas jobs the answer is stainless steel TIG welding: sanitary lines, food equipment and architectural pieces. Factory repairs and one-off parts usually go to the shop as fabrication or repair work. Architectural rails are fit and welded in the shop, then set after tile and paint are done, so nobody's ladder scratches the finish.

FAQ

TIG welding in Dallas: questions

Not covered here?

Call or text (346) 561-0862. A photo of the part usually answers half the questions.

Can you weld stainless railings for a restaurant in Dallas?

Yes. We build and repair stainless handrails, bar rails, hood trim and wall panels for restaurants and commercial spaces. Most of it is 304 with a #4 brushed finish, TIG welded with small beads and blended so the joint disappears. Send measurements, photos of the space and the finish you want matched.

Who does sanitary welding for breweries and dairies in DFW?

We do. Sanitary tube gets a full argon purge so the inside of the joint is smooth and free of sugaring. We work to 3-A or ASME BPE when the line calls for it, and we can make sample welds first for your QA to cut open and inspect. Tell us the tube size, alloy and fittings.

Can you weld inside an operating data center?

Often, with the right permits. Most sites want the welding done off site and only the final joints made in place, under a hot work permit with a fire watch. TIG helps because it makes little smoke and no spatter. Share the site's contractor rules early, since badging and escorts take time to set up.

Do you serve Plano, Irving and Garland?

Yes. We cover Dallas and the cities around it, including Plano, Richardson, Irving, Garland, Mesquite, Carrollton and Grand Prairie, plus Fort Worth to the west. On-site jobs use mobile rigs, with travel quoted by distance. Parts that can travel can come to the shop instead.

How do I get a TIG welding quote in Dallas?

Send drawings or clear photos, the metal and thickness, the number of parts or joints, and the site address if the work is on site. Mention any code, finish or plant access rules. Call (346) 561-0862 or use the contact form, and we'll come back with questions or a quote.
